Filipino's however started doing their decorations when 'ber' from the name of the month starts, so September, October etc..
YEAH! that early, we Filipinos love christmas. "Christmas in the Philippines, one of two predominantly Catholic countries in Asia, is one of the biggest holidays on the calendar. The country has earned the distinction of celebrating the world's longest Christmas season, with Christmas carols are heard as early as September and the season lasting up until Epiphany."
We are inviting everyone to join us on our workshops we will be making parol (christmas lantern) and also some christmas decorations. Everyone is welcome all ages. We have activities for everone!!! This is an event for families too!
We are also encouraging people to go GREEN this christmas, we all know about global warming. To help the earth we will be making christmas decorations made by recycled things like old flyers, old newspapers and many more. Also we will have a showcase on many more green christmas decorattions.
THE ACTIVITIES ARE:
Parol Making: each individual can make their own parol (lantern) from scratch! (7 to 11 years olds must be accompanied by an adult, 12 onwards can make it by themselves)
Christmas Basket weaving: made from old flyers (12 and above, 7 year olds has to acompanied by an adult)
Flat Parol: This is a parol made by paper plates, glitters, coloured papers and chinese papers. This is ideal for younger children under 7 years old.
Christmas colouring: This is also an ideal activity for children under 7 years old. They can colour picture that are christmas themed and show off thier creativity!

£7 for Adults includes all workshops
£3 for children and Adults not taking part in Parol making.
